It has been more than 20 years since I visited Agulhas, but the opportunity arose to use my Photo competition prize to explore this gem of a park, located about 210 km from Cape Town.

Although it was a quick visit to the 'Cape of the Needle', we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing scenery, interesting 'must visit' historical places, variety of birdlife and the well equiped cozy accommodation situated amongst fynbos with a spectacular view over the ocean from the braai deck while enjoying local hand crafted beer 'Fraser's folly'.

If you are interested to learn more about Struisbaai, Lighthouse, Marie Elise, Tip of Africa, Meishu Mara 38, where the Indian and Atlantic oceans really meet, the accommodation within Agulhas National Park and where to buy some the Fraser's Folly then please read here:  Agulhas NP - July'15: a quick visit to the 'Cape of the Needle'
